Therapy Services

I offer clinical mental health counseling to individuals, couples, and families.

Typically, sessions are 50 minutes/one hour, though I also offer 90-minute and 2-hour sessions when needed.

Commons issues I work with include anxiety, ADHD, low self-esteem, depression, disordered eating, poor body image, relationship struggles (romantic, friendship, family, etc.), life transitions, forming & completing goals, spirituality, perfectionism, sexual identity, sexuality, and trauma.

My Approach

I lead with compassion and understanding so that you can feel heard and supported in the safe space we create together. I believe my clients are the experts on themselves and their stories, and it is my privilege to sit passenger seat on their journey of finding more peace, joy, and contentment in their life.

I take pride in being a “real person” with my clients: one that jokes, swears, makes mistakes, and fumbles their words. Therapy is most effective when we both try to show up as our genuine selves.

Although I emphasize empathy, listening, and validation, I don’t want my clients walking away feeling like they “didn’t get anything out of it”. Therefore, I try to sprinkle in helpful feedback, strategies, and skills for my clients to utilize between sessions and going forward, even after our work together has concluded.

I utilize a variety of counseling theories such as person-centered therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), metaphor-based therapy, attachment theory, internal family systems (IFS), narrative therapy, and more.

I am trauma-informed and I love utilizing somatic strategies (breathwork, mindfulness, etc.) in healing the mind, body, and nervous system together. I am also neuroscience-informed, bringing compassion and education for the ways the brain’s structures and “programming” impacts our moods and behaviors. From a social justice lens, I also regular consider the societal and systemic impacts on my clients’ struggles and mental health.

I identify as neurodivergent, and am happy to be a neurodivergent-affirming clinician. I work from a strength-based approach, and want to help you view your differences as superpowers!

As a member of the LGBTQIA community, I am proud to be a safe and affirming space for all of my clients.
